Urgent help needed, please look ?

Yesterday i accentially went into sleep mode, after resuming, my icons in taskbar are missing, also any thing i click on says something about programme assoications.

Only way i can do things i right clicking and run as admin, whats happen to vista 64.

Sometimes i bloody hate it, Can someone please help, i want to get back to normal,

yep, i have,

Anything i do i get the programme assoication error, this is piddling me off, there must be a ways to get it back to before.

I even did a restore, my icons loaded in the taskbar but i still had the programme association problem after a reboot back to the same problem. what to do now.

Do you mean the Quick Launch icons or the Notification icons?

If you meant Quick Launch, then you may need to delete them, then create new shortcuts directly from the EXE of the program the shortcuts are for. After that, place the new shortcuts into Quick Launch.

This can happen if you used shortcuts in Quick Launch made from other shortcuts that where deleted or moved instead of directly from the EXE file.

Guys,

I tried everything yesterday, even tried restore no help, i got so fed up so i had to do a reformat and reinstall of vista 64.

This is all because i accendentially hit the hibernation button when i was shutting down, now that ive reinstalled vista im gonna look into some how when shutting down, getting rid of the sleep and hibernation button.

Before all this happened vista 64 was running great, i had some games on there which ran perfectly including some of my big apps. At least now ive done a reinstall its fresh, last night i loaded in some drivers and tonight i have to reinstall ageia drivers, printer drivers then ms window updates to sp1, should be able get it all done tonight then im nearly on my way.

So for all you vista people do not hit the sleep or hibernation button, it will mess up your pc.

I would prefer to remove sleep and hibernation so i dont have this problem, again.
