uploading files from backup

I deleted my pictures several days ago and did not note that it occurred. Also missing are my favorites and contacts. I am wondering if I can upload these folders from my back up disk. Rather than loading all of the disk, it would be a selective choice; if not, any suggestions.

you should be able to. depending on the backup program you used.

I used the backup that windows supplies. It wasn't a mirror image.

never had to use it so i am unsure if you can just select certain files or not.
