i am uninstalling programs and there are quite a few that are samsung,is it safe to assume that they are left over from when i uninstalled samsung pc studio used for my mobile phone or are they to do with computer.

Hi, could you please specify some of the programs.
I used to have an old Samsung PC and the rest of my family still do; as far as I can remember some of the programs are vital drivers/monitors and some could be considered bloat ware so it's probably best to runthe program names through us and a quick search to determine whether or not it can be uninstalled. The chances are most of it can be uninstalled without a detramental effect on your PC but it's better to be safe than sorry.
If you don't have a Samsung PC, monitor, HDD, RAM or any other component in your computer I think you're ok with uninstalling them.

They should be, but have a look in your Program Files folder and verify that Samsung PC Studio is the only one there from Samsung, except fot your HDD Diagnostics program.
In general, if you don't know exactly what a program is for, don't uninstall it.
