Uninstalling Help

I have to uninstall some programs before I can do the Windows 7 upgrade. I have to remove multiple programs. It says to reboot after every uninstallation of a program. Do I have to do this after every program uninstallation or could I just uninstall every program (without doing a reboot after every single one), and then do a reboot so it would remove all files for the programs?

Unforetunatly you cant start the next un-install till you finish the current one. so its reboot after each

NO. It can wait until you are finished. The left over files are temps. Don't bother rebooting.

Hey guys, I know this is completely different from the thread topic, so feel free to move it, but it wants me to remove "ATI Catalyst Install Manager" prior to upgrading to Windows 7. It says

"If only the “ATI Catalyst Install Manager” is present in the “Programs and
Features” section of the “Control Panel” TOSHIBA has determined that the
following steps are taken to properly uninstall the ATI Display Adapter
component.
1. Navigate to the “Programs and Features” section of the “Control
Panel”
2. Select “ATI Catalyst Install Manager”, Click “Change”, and follow the
screen prompts to remove/uninstall the “ATI Catalyst Install
Manager”
After the “Uninstall” is complete the user is advised to do a manual “Restart” if
not prompted to “Restart/Reboot” during the “Uninstall” process"

When I go to Program and Features and click on ATI Catalyst Install Manager, it doesnt give me the option to Change or Uninstall. It is just blank at the top. I can't right click it or anything. Any suggestions?

Go ahead and download and run the same ATI driver version installation file again. It should give you the option to uninstall it then.

Where should I download that? Off of ATI's website or Toshiba's?

Either one, but you would most likely only get the latest driver version from ATI.

If that dont work u could use driver sweeper (i dunno if driver sweeper just does ati display drivers or what) or find out how to remove it manually!

Remove ATI Catalyst Control Center from the Desktop Right-Click Menu :: the How-To Geek
