uninstall problem

can anyone help me,i have tried too uninstall avg free and get an error code,error:@Avgerrorcode_0x0253%file%="c:\program files\Avg\AVG8"@avgerrorcode_0x0020 anyone else having the same problems,my os is vista 32 home premium.

Hi,

• Try the AVG remover here: http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/avg_arm_sup_____.dir/avgremover.exe

• If this does not work, make sure that AVG is closed from the tray (bottom right hand corner of the screen) then try the uninstall again.

• If this does not work, try uninstalling it from Safe Mode.

• If the problem still exists, go into "regedit" and then make a backup of the whole registry. Now go to: "HKEY_LOCALE_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\" and backup just the AVG8 folder. Now delete the AVG8 folder and try the uninstall again.

Hope this helps, and MAKE SURE the AVG8 folder is backed up!

If Richards astue advice does not work, give this a try
Revo Uninstaller Pro - Uninstall Software, Remove Programs, Solve uninstall problems
Make sure that the program is completely turned off before trying to remove.
Check with task manager, alt+cntr+delete.
