Unable to view available networks or add new one

I had no trouble connecting to the internet prior to moving house. Now that I have moved and want to connect to a new network I find that I cannot open the 'connect to a network' link from the task bar, nor can I reach the list of available networks through network and sharing centre\connect to a network, or network and sharing centre\set up a connection or network. When I click on the 'Connect to the Internet' link in the control panel tab (in the bottom left) I get the message 'Error loading xwizards, the specified module could not be found'.

The task bar is telling me that wireless networks are avaliable.

Also, when I open connectivity doctor, if I click on the radar tab the program crashes. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks a lot.

Edit - I have just run a system scan through the cmd prompt, and it said that Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. Nonetheless
