Unable To Play AVI?

hey. i have a few videos in AVI format that play the audio but not the video. is there a codec or something i need for windows media player? please help.thanks

If you know that the avi was encoded with DIVX sure just download DIVX, but if you don't know what it was encoded with, download ffdshow as it will decode most all video files.

You can also try this:
VLC media player for Windows

download divx player

Actually, you only need to download the DIVX codecs, not the player itself. It will save you space on your hard drive.
