Im hoping you can help. I am unable to install automoatically or manually the microsoft updates. the last succesfull update was 22/05/2009. I now have 15 important update and 56 optional that i am unable to download.
i get the following link when i run the error checker and it seems to be linked to windows defender.
Microsoft KB 836941: Temporary connection-related errors when using Windows Update or Microsoft Update to install updates
i have tried to resolve the issues using the help such as deactivating kaspersky etc but so far these have been unsuccessful. i tried to call microsoft but as the software is OEM they wouldnt help and to call the company i bought it from cost £1.5 per minute! all they do is a fresh install for any problems and i this is highly inconvinient as this is my work pc as i work from home
