unable to install KB958644

For some unknown reason I cannot install this security update: KB958644 for Vista.
I tried to run the program & download it to run later & none of these options have worked. Any ideas please?

Believe thats a 64bit update... it appears to do funky things so I'd avoid it anyway(*_-)

I got that same update for 32bit and it installed correctly.

Was the installation of KB958644 part of a Windows update, or did u install the stand alone KB958644 please? I ask because it's not in ANY of the updates I've done, not even as an additional update option. I only became aware of it's importance via an online software scan Scan Now - Online (OSI) - Vulnerability Scanning - Secunia.com

Any further help on this issue would be great thanx

Thank you so much for the link but the error message I get is that it's basically not for my system which is Vista Ultimate 32 bit?
