Regarding: Vista Ultimate 64.
I did a full backup onto a spare SATA drive. I assume now if my primary SATA fails, i can restore from Vista Ultimate 64 DVD + backup drive files. The backup operation itself gave me a choice where to store the backup file(s). This is well and good but the backup took ~200GB on my 600 GB spare drive. Eventually i will run out of space on this drive. Since i really only need two backups at a time with the idea of eliminating all but the last one at the time when i will make a new backup, how do i manage (delete) older backups without corrupting the backup system?
Then there is the question about restore points. Where are they kept? Are they incremental backups that could be applied once a restore from backup is performed? I suspect the answer is - "Restore points only go *back* from current state to a previous state" - but thought i would ask to be sure.
