TV tuner software

Hi, I recently purchased a Pinnacle HD pro stick, but the tuner sofware isnt compatible, and since i live in Canada well Media center is not compatible with canada, was wondering if anyone knew of some tv tuner software that i could use

There are a bunch of programs available. Most offer a trial period after which you have to buy.

My suggestion is to have a look at this website dedicated to building your own personal video recorder (PVR):www.byopvr.com. There's a great community there with an active forum that will give you all the details you could desire.

I personally use SageTV, but I know BeyondTV is good and there are others like GBPVR that are free.

I have a similar problem with my Pinnacle 310i tuner card - no Pinnacle software for X64. Pinnacle say their engineers are working on it, but won't give any timing.

I'm assuming you have suitable drivers, and the system recognises your hardware. If so, have you tried Windows Media Centre? That works for me, though I have to admit, the picture quality isn't as good as it was when I ran the genuine Pinnacle Media Centre software previously on Win XP. I think that's a separate problem however.
