I have a RCA 40 INCH LCD TV hooked up to my computer
it works fine but some resolutions give me a blue screen. Windows is still functional.
The whole screen turns light blue though and doesnt display the desktop. Out of sync I guess.
HEre's what I have from PC WIZARD
ON the display its detecting and which driver IM using
I use Vista 64 bit and was owndering if vista uses 64 bit drivers or the fact that its using a 32 bit driver is ok

to be the only ones to use.... there maybe one that says "Use Native resolution!" if that is the case this will be the best and most optimal resolution to use, any others will result in some form of degradation weather loss of quality or not picture at all

I understand that the Nvidia control panel can allow unsupported and or custom resolutions but 9/10 times will result in disaster (BSOD)

I may well be worth looking for a firmware or driver update to your TV but these are usually few and far between so your chances of finding them will most likely result in nothing

Sorry for such late reply..... I think you may need to understand that just because your TV supports 1920X1080 This does not mean that your Graphics card does too!

Sometime by updating your graphics driver & software you might find that the developer has managed to tweak the settings to allow more resolutions but there will always be a limit where that card becomes unstable thus limiting you to just lower resolutions

While i look back at what has already been discuses i can guess that this time round your problem may very well lie in that fact that you don't actually have the developers driver and software utility actually installed on your system in which case your graphics are falling back to pre determined Microsoft drivers and utilities thus giving you the low and basic resolutions of :
Mode : 720 x 400 @ 70 Hz
Mode : 640 x 480 @ 75 Hz
Mode : 1024 x 768 @ 87 Hz interlaced

you may find NVIDIA DRIVERS 258.96 WHQL to be very helpful
after installing the new drivers i would hope you will be able to achieve the following resolutions
Video Modes Standard :
Mode : 640 x 480 @ 60 Hz
Mode : 800 x 600 @ 60 Hz
Mode : 1024 x 768 @ 60 Hz
Mode : 1280 x 720 @ 60 Hz
Mode : 1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz
