Tranfering Data and Mail

My refurbished computer had a hardware malfunction, the company is replacing it but I need to know how to tranfer all my data including mail files folders and contacts to the new one. Because I have to send the old one back before the new one comes I have to get this right first time. Also what's the best way to wipe clean my hard drive before I send it back? Both computers have vista.

Use windows easy transfer:

Than reformat drive.
