Totaly Meltdown?

My laptop (compaq presario a9000 notebook pc) seems to be melting down slowly.

My internet logo in the bottom right has the little red x [instead of the globe(implying I have no internet connection)] but I can connect to web browsers and bittorrent loads files just fine. If I right click on the icon the menu pops up but freezes and I cant click on anything.

Msn messenger loads up but when I click to sign in it freezes and is unresponsive.

Itunes loads in the "Processes" section of "windows task manager" but never loads up for me to access.

Windows Live Care doesnt load and it tells me to go to start>start search> and type in something. When I type that in and press enter the entire start menu freezes and I cant click anything on it.

Whats the deal? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

You may have to right click and run as adminstrator

Type malwarebytes in search, when it pops up, right click and then hit run as adminsitrator. Does it work that way?

ran the computer in safe mode and everything worked fine. Ran the program found 3 things, removed them and then did a system restore. Back in normal mode the problem continues. Altho this time msn starts to log in (instead of being unresponsive) but eventually tells me theres no internet connection (but alas here I am). Here is the log:
