This HAS to be a BUG in Windows Mail!

Last week, with no change in my network connection, I started getting this message - only when I RECEIVE Email -:

Code:
Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection.
Possible causes for this include server problems, network
problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account:
'pop.att.yahoo.com', Server: 'pop.att.yahoo.com',
Protocol: POP3, Port: 995, Secure(SSL): Yes, Error
Number: 0x800CCC0F
My first action (after checking the account myself) was to call AT&T. They verified that my EMail account setting are correct. They had me disable my anti-virus (MSE) and firewall - no help.

Then they asked me to try it on another computer. It works on my netbook (XP), but not my main computer. They said the problem is with my Vista machine.

On my Vista box, I installed another EMail program (Mail Commander).... It WORKS!

So, the problem can NOT be with any software on the computer - it HAS to be with 'Windows Mail'.

But I can't find any settings that would affect it.

I have run various mail database checking utilities, I've run disk-check and defrag (several times).

Anyone have Any idea??

-Matt
