System restore

My system did an auto update yesterday and InDesign CS3 no longer worked. So I did a system restore to the day before yesterday. During the restore process, the system crashed before completing. Now I cannot get it to restore to any point at all - seems to go through the process but on restart it tells me that it was unsuccessful.

Any ideas?

Hello reneegade,
Please try to do system restore in Safe Mode with Command Prompt. Type in the command prompt : c:\windows\system32\rstrui.exe

Does it work this time ?

Use f8 to startup to last known good configuration. If it truely is good, then make a restore point and restore to it.

Thanks for all your help - did a few of these and a few more uninstalled and reinstalled InDesign and it's working again.

Thanks again
