Solved system restore options

Is it advisable to NOT allow system restore to run every day? I feel that I don't need this because I do very few changes to my system. This task uses resources I may not want to give up. Also, If system restore runs every day, It is very hard to find a particular restore point that I had made, say 2 weeks ago. Any feedback?

If you keep good complete computer backups, then you may not need to use System Restore if you do want to.

If you turn off System Restore, then all restore points get deleted automatically. However, you can disable the tasks in Task Scheduler to have to manually create restore points as needed instead.

I do want system restore. I just don't think making a restore point every time I turn on my PC or every day is in my best interest. If I create a restore point called "before I ran registry editor" or what ever, I want to be able to go back to that point in the future. I don't want to wade through 40 restore points to find that point. Also, I don't want to loose that point because it was deleted to make room for another restore point. That is my point. It is bad idea to NOT allow restore points to be made automatically everyday or every time I turn on my PC?
