Switch to other users problem

I have my account that works on my vista laptop but I cannot get any other
user accounts to work. They all worked before. All I get is a blue screen and
and curser with no desktop. If I boot in the safe mode all the accounts work.
I have tried deleting and adding new accounts and it's the same thing! I wish
I stayed with XP! One other thing that happens when I create a new user the first time logging on I get Windows mail unable to initialie msoe.dll error.
I hope someone can help!

Hi Brian, and welcome to Vista Forums.

You might try doing a System Restore using a restore point dated before this problem to see if it can fix the problem.

If not, then using Option One in this tutorial below, check to see if the bad user accounts have a SID key with bak at the end of it in the registry. If it does, then follow the instructions in Option One to switch them. This will restore the backup and hopefully fix your problem for that user account.

Thanks for the reply! I tried system restore still no good. I have foun however when I try adding a new user (new name) and log on the first time i get an error message about windows mail and the msoe.dll not initializing. Can we do something with this?
I do not have a bac SID key with the same number.

Have you checked the error log after one of these crashes?
