Strange CPU Behaivour?

Hey guys,

I've been having a strange annoyance on my Vista laptop. When under high load, my processors seem to throttle down their speeds, which is strange as they should only throttle when idling. Take a look:

And:

I've had both of the cores throttle to 800 Mhz while I've been using the flight simulator in Google Earth.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Thanks,
Ellis

Turn off intells speedstep, and C1E in BIOS. that will make it always run at the set speed of the CPU, and never throttle down. thats what I have it set at. all disabled.

Or the same setting for AMD, disable the downclock feature.
