In Firefox I can protect a cookie I do not want to delete, how can I do this in IE8 or IE9? Thanks....

There is software that will delete the cookies, such as Ccleaner or software within the OS. If this is used cookies in all browsers will be deleted. Can you be more specific?

richc46, You can delete cookies in IE in Options, but this deletes them all and I don't want that. I have CCleaner and it will not delete selected cookies. My question is "How can I delete cookies using IE and save selected cookies?". I do not want to use 3rd party software.
Edit: Firefox can be setup to delete all cookies except selected ones when you close it. This makes things a lot cleaner and keep websites at bay.

richc46, I want IE to work like FF, no manual operations by me or any 3rd party software. M$ has a habit of trying to force people to bow to their way of doing things since the beginning of Windows 3.1. If IE will not bow to my needs, I will use FF just as I have been doing.
I am running Win7 64 and I, like many other, use FF because it is far superior to IE. FF has tight security that you have to learn to work with, but that is better than using something that doesn't work.
