Google is not helping on the start up items much. Many new things on Vista. I need help on what not to have start up when the computer starts up. Any info is appreciated.

Here is a link that should help on what services are needed and not needed. Scroll down a little ways and you will find what is default and what is safe to disable. It is pretty well self-explanatory.

You shouldn’t disable services using Vista since it automatically shuts them down when there not being used plus its more responsive and runs better on defaults, Microsoft changed the way services worked on Vista because people where always disabling things they actually needed for the OS to run.
