spell check

Hi from a newbie. I know absolutely nothing about operating systems & all the other technical speak, sorry.

I need some advice please. I have just upgraded my computer from XP to Vista. How do I get spell check on windows mail ? I've found out how to do it in Word but can't figure how to spell check in mail.

It appears a BIG error in the system. why no spell check in tool bar ?

You would need to specify which email program you are using. If you are using Microsoft Outlook 2007, do the following: Tools -> Options -> Spelling Tab -> Spelling and AutoCorrection... -> Check Spelling as You Type (and any other appropriate check boxes)

Thanks for that. I was using outlook with XP but outlook not available with my new vista program. I only have windows mail. I found out how to do spell check in word document ok. Another function missing in vista is the inability to insert an uppercase letter when starting a new sentence, ie, after using ? or , or. It seems strange that these functions would be deleted from a newer system ?
What's your suggestions for using a spell check with windows mail ? sureli I'm not the only person to be baffled by this "omission" ?
