sound uninstalled!

So I just updated Vista on my machine, and after it finished updating, and restarting, my sound was gone.
And every time I try to turn up the volume it says "No Audio Output Device Is Installed".
But it was working before the update. D=
HELP.

PC: HP Pavilion dv 2000 (GA726EA#ABV)

go to the manufacturers website and download the drivers for that machine

if you cant find them, go to device manager and click the sound device and then rollback/update driver
or you could try restoring you system to an earlier time using system restore

well actually i went to the device manager n i uninstalled my sound(conexant high definition) and then iam downloading it from a link hope it works! coz the rollback/update option wasnt available
