Hi,

Do anyone know why the microphone input signal recorded by Vista Sound Recorder is different from other software? Ex. Sound Recorder might record less volume then CoolEdit under the same mic boost and mic gain setting condition?

Thx! How if they run on the same codec?
Is it possibly due the audio lib and implementation?
Is MS Sound Recorder implemented based on DirectSound? And it can have volume setting on top of system gain?
What auido lib is CoolEdit based?
