Something like 7stacks that doesn't bog?

I've been using 7Stack on Vista64 Quick Launch, but it's bogging so bad I had to take it off. 10 and 12 second delays for the glass panel to come up(and I just defragged, so it's not that.)

Anyone know any substitute without just making a toolbar out of a folder?

Thanks for the reply. I should have added, I'm using RocketDock. But I was also using 7Stacks to reduce the quick launch clutter. What I'm doing in the interim is just using the folders I use with RocketDock. But it's cooler if a panel comes up right near the icon instead of just a folder of shortcuts. I don't know why all of a sudden it's bogging so badly. But I can't stand waiting 12 seconds to click the icon I want. That's just unacceptable.

edit: btw I also tried that stack thing for RocketDock. I don't see the appeal. I remember in OS/2 there was like a sliding drawer type thing where you could put a bunch of icons and the thing slid open almost like WinAmp equalizer. If I make a Toolbar out of a folder I have to click then track the mouse pointer and it's just lame.

Sorry if it comes across like that. Most of it is probably my spell checker divring me carzy. Seems like I have to edit 5 times just to get rid of typos that aren't flagged because they are another word I didn't mean. :)

In case anyone else is looking for something similar, on another board somebody tipped me to this:

Chris'n'Soft » StandaloneStack

It uses the same library as the RocketDock stacks, but it works with your QuickLaunch. In "fan" mode the stuff pops up large and easy to see. Seems to react as fast or faster than opening a folder. No Glass but I guess I can't have everything.

afa the knowledge goes, I try to stay away from areas where I don't know what the hell I'm talking about. "Be silent and men will think you are wise" and all that.
