Sidebar Animation Troubles (answered)

I can't get my sidebar to work like it did when i got my computer. On the sidebar normally, when you move a gadget to a new location there is an animation where the other gadgets slide into place. My gadgets dont slide anymore. They snap into the new location in a single frame. Technically I don't lose any funtionality, but it is frustating since I am a fan of aesthetics.

I hope this is the right place to ask for help on how to fix this glitch.

I haven't intensionally disabled desktop animations. Could you tell me how to check?
