Sidebar 300+ megs, 5 gadgets...?

Just wondering if this is normal... I have one clock, one speed-o-meter and two instances of the currency exchange (all supplied with vista originally), plus AccuWeather. I've dragged them floating onto the desktop. I also have two instances of sidebar in task manager one with about 32Mb, one with 315... --ch

Yeah, after a restart there are still two instances, but they are around 25Mb each... I have no idea if this is normal...

I have also noticed that some processes just decide to start growing... On my laptop the other day I had one instance of svchost that went up to 350Mb... and another at 90... Normally the big one is at about 175-200... and another at around 50 or so, the rest all small. What happens here? Are these guys storing info or something, or is it just uncontrolled growth like cancer? I also had explorer.exe run away once and top 300Megs.

A restart generally fixes it, but it's annoying. When I start to see the RAM meter climbing for no apparent reason, I go looking in TM.... --ch
