I have a new Toshiba laptop ... with VistaX64. I receive an error message that reads "side by side configuration error" that doesn't allow me to continue. Any qick solutions to get rid of the problem? Thanks, Art

three things to try.

1. The "side-by-side" component is associated with the Vista Windows Resource
Protection (WRP). You may have a corrupted file in the SxS folder.

To resolve this issue, use the System File Checker tool (SFC.exe) to repair
these files.
To do this, follow these steps:

1. Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click All
Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run
as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a
confirmation, type the password, or click Allow/Continue.

2. Type the following command, and then press ENTER:
sfc /scannow
(The sfc /scannow command scans all protected system files and replaces
incorrect versions with correct Microsoft versions.)

This may take some time to run, so be patient.

2. Install the vcredist_x86.exe http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

3. Install msxmli.msi http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

or read some where this might work also, run UE3Redist file in the Binaries/Windows folder and it fixes the problem

keep us informed.
