Should I be concerned?

Configuring the Page file for crash dump failed. Make sure there is a page file on the boot partition and that is large enough to contain all physical memory.
or this error message
The event logging service encountered an error while processing an incoming event published from Microsoft-Windows-Security-Auditing.

??

I haven't changed anything. . .

virus?

thanks

I would be alittle worried. Apparently you have system instability (maybe corruption)

Do this:

Free ESET Online Antivirus Scanner (online malware scanner/cleaner. Be sure to check for "unwanted" programs)

System Files - SFC Command
Run sfc/scannow under "Administrator:Command Prompt" to check for integrity Violations and repair if possible

How To Make Vista more responsive and faster (checks drive for file attribute errors)

Run These (and attach to post):
Start>Control Panel>System and Maintenance>Performance Information and Tools>Advanced Tools>

Generate a system health Report

Open Reliability and Performance Monitor>Reliability Monitor

View Performance Details In Event Log

thanks for the suggestions:

I did the sfc/scannow and the results came back no issues, other than a message buffer issue.

I generated a Generate a system health Report and it has declined slightly, with a USB error which i typed in a post, but lost the post. I must have had some sort of USB software issue, because the mouse and keyboard locked up.

The performance logs is the first place i go, and nothing was abnormal, other than my forced shutdown. I am on the XP os so i can't see the vista side . . .

But the only message was the USB issue of some sort.

thanks, though, i learned some interesting places to look
