SETI@home UFO crap

Yes. I find it very satisfactory that my computer can find a cure for a illness, though I do hate what it does to my CPU.

It just uses it all up. Theirs probably a way to change it but I never searched around for it. Note: BOINC has many services like rosseta@home and much more that have much more relestic goals.

Folding@home is a very worthwhile cause...

Folding@home - Main

Real results.

Be prepared though...running these apps generally push your hardware. A lot of data crunching.

But hey...its a good way to use those idle processes :P

I run this on my pc. I set it to only run when my computer is idle after 2 minutes. Good way to put a computer to use when i am not sitting at it.

what does it do to your CPU?

again,
how does it use up my CPU and what will happen if it's used up.

nothing will happen. Well if you are sitting at your pc doing work and using programs that use up a lot of cpu resources they may begin to respond slow or even stop responding. Otherwise, it won't damage your cpu at all. Its better to run it only when your computer is inactive...aka idle.
