search will not search through current emails

I have indexed my inbox and added .eml files to type to search through, but it does not search through currrent emails. I can be looking at one and search for that item and it does not search through emails at all. I do not have anything checked to 'hide' anything and it is supposed to search name and content. It will search through stored emails in other areas but not my through my windows live mail.

It's driving me CRAZY! My boss wants me to find things right away and has no patience. I've used google desktop, google extreme and windows search. None of them search through my windows live mail.

Try this approach to your problem: -

Open Live Mail
Click on Edit
Click on Find
And Screen pops up that looks similar to an ernail message and gives you advanced options for searching in the body of emails

Thanks for the advice, but that only partially helps. I have two email addresses incorporated into my windows live. If I am in one inbox it will search that inbox, but will not search through both inboxes at the same time. If I go to the all mail "inbox" the "find" does not allow me to choose "message", it is grayed out.

What I want is something that will search through old emails as well as both inboxed for windows live mail.

I've found several desktop search engines "google desktop" "google extreme" "copernic desktop" and "agent ransack". NONE of them will search through the current windows live emails but they all search through the saved old emails.
