Screen is black

I just got H2 Vista. I put it on and everything was fine I could log in and I had no problems. I installed the updates it told me to get. I went into video settings to change my resolution and I changed it, then the screen went blank. It was at 1024x768 and I changed it to one setting higher and the screen just went blank. I could hear the game but couldnt see anything. I restarted my computer and the game loaded up with a blank screen but I could still hear the menu sounds and song playing, I just cant see anything. I uninstalled and re-installed and still the same issue. After the game is loaded I have to press the restart button on my computer because I cant see what i'm doing on the screen.

If needed my specs are...
Gefore 8800GT
2 GB RAM
Two Intel Core 2 E6400 DUal Core CPU's @ 2.13 GHz
320 GB HDD
Vista Ultimate 32-bit

So... did you set the resolution back to where it was before the problem?

I would suggest asking the question in a forum dedicated to this particular game, as the problem seems to be with the game settings.

Some uninstalls don't clean out all the scraps -- it's up to the game manufacturer to log everything and allow the clean uninstall. Perhaps, someone that knows the game, also knows how to clean off the leftovers. If you could get it completely off, then you would be able to reinstall it. Though, I am thinking you still wouldn't be able to run it at a res higher than 1024x768.

I bet a gamer could help you figure out whether it is the video graphics card or the driver to blame. It could just be that the app has troubles too.

Hey Subbs,

Can you paste this command into your address bar and copy the Results file it generates on your desktop afterwards?

From what you've described I would guess you've set the resolution to one that your monitor doesn't support. That would be why you still hear the sound and the screen is blank because your monitor doesn't support that resolution. I'm not familiar with H2, but you might want to take a look around your PC and see where its saving the settings and delete them, it maybe in your appdata folder (in your user folder) or in the registry.
