Same wlm, but different in 2 accounts

Hello, I just joined this forum and this is my first thread. I have 2 accounts, both have windows mail. Lately I installed the windows live mail also on the same 2 accounts. I notice there is a difference. On one account, when I opened the wlm, at the left panel, I can see the wm account represented by my in-coming server name ( pop----), and the new wlm represented by " Live (my name) ". But on the other account, I can only see the wm account. Why is that ? Oh, I said NO for using wm as default e-mail program, but wlm did not ask me that question. Why ?

Hello t-4-2,
Im thinking it might have something to do with user-permissions on the PC allowing access, as for WLM asking to be default it usually asks on the second run after install.

Hello dmex, I did not mention before as I didn't think it should make a difference. The one that shows both WLM and WM is the "built-in" admin acct. which I kept after some trooubleshoot. The other one is my Admin/standard account, that's the one that shows only Wm account. That means anything to you ? WLM did ask to be default later.

Ah yes it does mean something... the built-in account has UAC and virtualization disabled so it would see your settings aswell as its own.

Hello, dmex,
Let see if I understand you correctly. The wlm window that I saw in my own admin/standard account Is what I am supposed to see. Right ?

Yes it should be, Take a screenshot then I can be sure...If its not I can report it to the WLMail Team.

Vista usually comes with a program called "snipping tool" for taking screenshots and makes it very easy...
If your unable to find it the only other method is to press the "PRT SCR" button when you have the shot you want to take (found at the top right near the F Keys) then open paint and go Edit >> Paste, you should then see your screenshot in paint then just save and attach the file during your reply..

Hello dmex,
As mentioned before, I don't have " snipping tool" program in my OS. I have figured out how to send you a screenshot, but I prefer not, because it contains my real name.
I'll take your word for it, it's a safe bet, I think.

Yeah it sounds normal so unless it starts causing a problem I doubt its anything to worry about, You can always setup a test vista setup and see if the problem still occurs.
