Hi All,

I have a receptor (to increase the WiFi signal strength) which connects with the Fritz box router. My computer shows that i am connected to the router/ receptor, but i have no internet. When i unplug the receptor than i connects with the main router and then No problem with the internet.

1) The problem is that i cannot reset the receptor always because other people are also connected with the receptor and only i am facing this problem.

2) Before using this receptor, i always connected to the main router directly but other people had some problems due to weak signals. Now only me has the problem.

Please help.

Hello g7920453, wecome to the forum.

Start, All Programs\Accessories and right click on Command Prompt, select "Run as Administrator" to open a command prompt.

In the command prompt window that opens, type type the following commands:

Reset WINSOCK entries to installation defaults: netsh winsock reset catalog

Reset IPv4 TCP/IP stack to installation defaults. netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log

Reset IPv6 TCP/IP stack to installation defaults. netsh int ipv6 reset reset.log

Reboot the machine. Hope it helps you.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. Just two small concerns.

1) Will these commands will also work for Windows Vista?

2) After using your mentioned commands, is there any risk of deleting anything (driver or software level)?

Thanks regards,

These commands are for Windows Vista.

No, it is just to reset your TCP/IP. Nothing would be deleted.
