Right side of desktop (not screen) "cut off"

I am running Vista Ultimate x64, with a Samsung SyncMaster T220 Monitor, and Radeon HD 4870 X2. This issue only happens when I exit out of any game (Lord of the Rings Online, CS:S, Swat 4, UT3 are the ones I have played so far). When I full screen a window like Internet Explorer or some Folder, it will fullscreen it like its suppose to, so it's not like that side of the screen is blocked out; the desktop just seems to be scrunched in. And the only way I have found to 'fix' this problem is to restart the computer.

Anyone have any kind of tips/advice?

Well it's not a perminate fix, but all samsungs have the Controls on the screen. I believe your T220 has them on the right side. (I almost bought that, didn't like the red bezel.) but anyways on the right side they have the controls for brightness and contrast and all that good stuff. and either the very top or the very bottom will say "AUTO" on it. Hit that and it Auto adjusts the screen to the right size and angle and what not. it centers the screen for you. That should work so you don't have to restart out of games.. let me know if that works. could you maybe need a driver update for that 4870x2??
what catalyst are you running
