Resolution Changes after Sleep

Maybe

New Member
Sometimes when my computer goes to sleep, the screen goes black after about five seconds and then the resolution changes when it wakes up. It isn't anything too crippling because I can just revert it through the control panel, but it is a nuisance. This problem started when I installed Portal and updated my video driver for it a few weeks ago. I used a different screen resolution than my default for Portal.

Possibly unrelated, but sometimes the icons disappear from my desktop. This has happened three times now, all three since I installed Portal. I have not found how to replicate this.

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

First try latest video drivers, make sure you have SP2 installed. What make and model pc do you have?

possible solution one:
Open Task Scheduler ( All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/Task Scheduler)
Then go to "Task Scheduler Library/Microsoft/Windows/MobilePC" .
Then disabled "TMM"

possible solution two:
Set screensaver to "Blank".
