Removing MP3 Artwork From Folder

I downloaded an mp3 file a few days ago which included cover artwork so that when played the image shows in WMP. The problem is now that I've deleted the mp3 the folder where I had originally saved it has retained the artwork image and it is displayed whenever I play any file also saved in that folder...

How do I "clear" the image from the folder?

You might try using Disk Cleanup and check mark the thumbnail box and clean it up then restart. And maybe clean your temp files with Disk Cleanup and or the CCleaner program.
