Solved remove windows 7

Multiboot (single drive 3 partitions) XP. vista, Windows 7. Since W7 doesn't see my wireless adapter, it's pretty useless. So how do I remove Windows 7 and reclaim that drive space, while leaving XP and Vista alone?

Hi,

Did you try the Vista drivers for your network adapter on 7 ?

You may need to use the Compatibility tab - right click the drivers select Properties>Compatibility set it Vista , Apply OK.

To remove 7: Boot into Vista, type msconfig in start search box - open it when it pops up, click the Boot tab.



Click on Vista to highlight it and set it as Default.

Click on 7 to highlight it and Delete the entry , Apply, OK.

Vista Disk Management will allow you to delete the 7 partition.

Thanks. Windows & deosn't even see the adapter. But it works fine in Vista though. Where do I find the Compatability tab? The only network adapter that's shown in device manager is the ethernet one (no wireless).

Hello Icoczar, and welcome to Vista Forums.

You would use Compatibility Mode on the driver installation file and select Vista.

Thanks. I got it working. Went into device manager and any devices that were not working I just updated drivers and pointed it to search the vista drive.
