Remove Optional Updates?

Is there anyway for me to remove the all the optional updates I don't want? I hate seeing the huge list of 39 language packs every time I look at the updates!

Hi microdude431,

To do this, you need to hide the unwanted updates. Open 'Windows Updates' and select 'View available updates'. The following screen appears.

Right click the unwanted update and select 'Hide update'. You will need to provide administrative credentials to continue. Repeat for each update that you do not wish to see. Unfortunately, I don't know of any way to do this other than individually selecting each update in turn.
