Solved reinstall

Hi Guy`s & Doll`s

I am going to do a reinstall of my 7 & vista os`s.Bolt are 32 and 64 disk`s can I use 2 hard disk`s.One for 7 the other for vista.I would like to partition each drive and install 32 and 64 vista on one drive.And do the same for 7.The problem I have is this I put 7 x64 on the drive then wiped the drive and put 7 x32 on.Tired of fighting for control of the system.I wiped the drive and installed vista first x64 then a wipe and installed x32.Bolt times I changed from 64 to 32 big m said I had to buy a new license.Bolt os`s came with 2 disk`s.I did not see anything that said you can use only one.All programs were installed on One machine.

Hello 2x4,

Your product key is only good to activate either the 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows, but not both at the same time since that is considered to be two separate Windows installations. Even if both are installed on the same computer, they are still considered two separate installations. You must choose which one you want to activate, or purchase another copy of Windows to have a second product key to be able to activate both.

This is explained in the Windows End User License Agreement (EULA).

Hope this helps to better understand why.

Well Thank You .It Would be nice If big m said that on the box it came in. Then I only would buy one disk.

At least you are able to install one Windows 7 and one Vista on the same computer if you like though.

First Thank You for your help.If I understand you all of my disks are still good. But can only use 32 or 64 of the same os at one time.Good news because I just set up a new box at friends network it has 8 on it .And boy I do not like it.I hope 9 is like xp with supercharger.Simple things are more fun.Now do you suggest 2 hard drives or 1 that is partitioned.Thanks again.
