Realtek ALC268 Soundcard suspend/hibernation resume issue

I am having a problem with vista and my soundcard. When I resume from hibernation/suspend my sound is there but any sound that comes out of it static/crackle noises. Has anyone else had this issue or have a fix for it?

Just completed a new build using a gigabyte motherboard with Realtek onboard audio. Same problem - after hibernate and resume, sound is distorted - only in the center/sub channel (using 5.1 analog speakers). Even when muted, distorted sound comes thru that port (when playing music, etc). I pulled the plug on that channel since we keep sounds muted for the most part. After a clean boot, sound is fine.

Don't know if its Vista 64, Realtek, or Gigabyte. Tried a 2nd mobo and it had the same problem. Probably Vista or Realtek.

If I mute my sound I don't get the noise anymore but it is still there if I unmute, its not a constant noise it is only when a windows sound is supposed to happen or if I play a mp3.
