ReadyBoost Really Working?

Hey guys
I have a 1 G sandisk flash drive w/ nothing on it and it is only ment for RedyBoost. How do i know if it REALLY works? I can obviously see it is "running as" ReadyBoost. But how can i be certain it really works? none of my programs such as SIW show that it is running.

In addition to the above a quick and easy test is to disable and/or remove the flash drive and see if you notice any difference. If things feel slower with it off, then it would be pretty safe to say having the drive in was working.
