re windows explorer update

i kep being asked if i want to update my windows explorer to the new one version 8, but i have not because i don't want to lose my favorites list. do you know if this is what normally happens or are the just transfered over to the new version.

Your favourites will be transfered to IE8 from IE7(I hope this is what you are talking about).
