So I've had with random freezes for a while, they became more and more frequent and at last my HDD started clicking and i couldn't boot up vista. Bought a new HDD and re installed vista.

Now after running smoothly for a week i've started getting more random freezes. I ran through the event viewer and the only error message i could find at the time it frooze was Error 3013 Category: Gatherer, here is the log:

The entry <C:\USERS\ANDERS\APPDATA\LOCAL\MOZILLA\FIREFOX\PROFILES\C2O2WQXP.DEFAULT\CACHE\5> in the hash map cannot be updated.

Context: Application, SystemIndex Catalog

Details:
A device attached to the system is not functioning. (0x8007001f)
Would appreciate any help and if you need more info let me know, thanks.

Okey.
I did the things in the link.
From what i could tell my GPU is overheating, it's at about 80C when idle and spikes at about 90 when gaming. I purchased a new graphics card not to long ago. So i'll go back to the old one and see if that changes things for me.

Thanks for the help Rich.

Yikes! 80 deg C is 176 F! The internal temp of your computer should be near the same as a human can tolerate. I suspect your graphics card is causing the overheating. You might explore cooling options for your card, like a cooling fan. There are dozens on the market. Try swapping the new graphics card with the old one and see what happens. I hope you aren't overclocking!
