Qwest SMTP Error

I am new to Qwest and cannot send email.
Get the error below.
I have wasted hours with Qwest "helpers" going over the same instructions.
They insist it is port 25 & 995 and have been of no help.
Servers - pop3.live.com & smtp.live.com
My email is a @q.com

The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'test', Account: 'pop3.live.com', Server: 'smtp.live.com', Protocol:
SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): Yes, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

Lets give the helpers the benefit of the doubt. The servers may be correct. The error could lie in another area: Under servers authentication?
The server neeeds a needs a secure connection?

I agree that the error is in the account setup, but maybe not the ports. Check every entry that has to do with sending. If Quest has a website, you may want to try there for more information.
