I need some help. I recently purchased a new computer with Vista 64bit operating system and am having problems with Quickbooks. When I try to reconcile my accounts, the computer freezes and the it states that it is 'not responding' on the top of the page. I have reloaded the software and still get the same response. When using task manager to close the program, I have to do the function many times over before it will finally stop the program. This happens every time! I was also having problems trying to open a company file. I would get an error message ( the same another user posted on this forum). I have done searches on the web and all I have found is Windows saying it is a Quickbooks problem and Quickbooks saying it is a Windows Vista problem. Quickbooks stated they recommended everyone purchase Quickbooks 2007 or newer to use with Vista...yet there are still problems with there compatibility. Anyone have any insight into this? I am about to return my computer and custom build one myself using good old Windows XP. Please advise.
