So I just searched through the forums, and got close to finding what I needed, however I'd prefer to not bring extra problems upon myself. So I recently built my current computer and used a new hard drive, recently I decided to cannibalize my old computer, and replaced my onboard sound with a card, and connected the old hard drive. I'm not trying to give myself dual boot or anything fancy, just an extra 200 gig. Disk management sees the disk as 'Disk 1' as having two primary partitions, but it isn't labeled as 'd' or anything. What I'm wondering is should I delete both partitions (no loss, had no important data) and then it can reformat? I'm a tad hesitant because I don't want to cause trouble in my computer, although it is reconized as a second disk, not my 'c drive' which has boot, pagefile, acvtive... Any help is appreciated.
