Problems with updates

I have this problem with Vista64. After every updates from M$ I get this error: The file /windows/system32/hall.dll is broken  and the error number 0xc00000e9. If I am a standard user I would have no chance to recover it. Sometimes it helps to put the install dvd in the drive and wait what happens. But sometimes I must recover this file directly from DVD with another computer and copy it to my system. Finally after approx. 2 hours of playing my system alives, but with the fear what the future brings.
Has anybody same problem? If yes how do you solve it?

As I can compare different OSs, this one is, I am afraid, the worst one. :(
Maybe the next generation will be better.

to dinesh: Thank you for advice, I will try it.

to lordbob: I have tried, but without a good result.

Now the system is "working" so I will not touch it.
