Problems with photos in Vista

Hiya

I have a technical issue, and yes, I *have* tried turning it off and on again!

I wonder if you can help. When I transfer pictures from my camera (a Fuji HS10) to my computer, they come up in most Windows programs as slightly blurred. However, in the Apple program 'Picture Viewer' they are crystal clear and sharp. They are not blurry pictures per se. I think this is because my computer (which runs Vista) is squashing the photos a tiny bit. If I zoom in very slightly in Windows Photo Gallery, they come up sharp.

The problem is that when I want to print out the pictures from file, or upload the pictures to the internet, it is the blurry version that goes. It seems the picture has been saved on my computer in its blurry form.

How can I get my machine (a Toshiba laptop) to accept the pictures in their sharp form?

Any help greatly appreciated, as this is driving me potty.

Cheers

M

You need to change the resolution(higher) to make them crystal clear.

I tried it in Media Centre, same problem.
I took the pictures in the highest resolution on the camera. Do you mean some sort of alteration of the Microsoft software when importing?

Yes, I noticed that, too.

You might try switching to Windows Live Photo Gallery as default viewer.
I like it better.

Re: Slightly blurry on the web:

Double check to be sure that your browser is set to
100% zoom for each web page you are viewing.

If it is slightly off it will show as a bit blurry.
