Problems sharing folders with XP laptop

Hi there,

I'm trying to set up a wireless network between my Vista x64 PC and an XP laptop. Both running the latest service packs and updates etc. Nothing fancy, just trying to share my collection of music and videos with the laptop.

Now, on both machines I can see each shared folder, but can't access them all for some reason.

On the Vista pc I'm sharing "Videos" and "Music", and both appear on the XP laptop; however, while Music is brows-able and working fine, for some reason Videos cannot be accessed.

I've checked and both Videos and Music have the exact same permissions etc., so I can't figure out why one is accessible and not the other.

Any ideas?

I have network sharing problem too. My rig is running Vista 32 Business a in my network is 3 others PCs (all are running XP32) and i can´t connect to 2 of them, all of them are without password protection. I got this error:




Can u help me some1 ???

Thanks for the links. Didn't manage to solve the problem I'm experiencing though. My problem isn't so much as enabling file sharing, but that sharing is working for only one of two folders I'm trying to share, even though both have the same permissions and so forth.

Try right clicking on the files you with to share and enable sharing.
